Telomeric repeat database
The telomeric repeat, the telomerase RNA (TR) and the telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) of more than 3,400 animals, plants, fungi and protists, from chromosome-level Darwin Tree of Life genomes. Repeats were called with tidk. Pick a species to see its telomere at the chromosome ends, its TR with the template that encodes the repeat, and its TERT, each with sequences to download. The data presented here are in preparation for a paper, where we analyse TR/TERT losses, evolutionary rates, and changes across the phylogeny.

a, the dated species tree, with rings for the repeat, a validated TR and TERT, and the repeat changes marked by route. b, c, Coleoptera and Hymenoptera enlarged, where most changes are. The download is the print figure, 178 mm wide.
